Substantial shifts in WIL policy, practice, and scholarship since 2019 prompted this evolutionary refresh, which retains the core structure of the original framework while strengthening alignment with TEQSA and HESF requirements.

WIL Australia welcomes expansion of Commonwealth Prac Payment Scheme The Australian Government has announced the CPP scheme will be expanded from 1 July 2027 to include eligible students undertaking mandatory placements in ten additional allied health disciplines: clinical psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, paramedicine, radiography, pharmacy, rehabilitation therapies, audiology, and podiatry. The expansion is intended to help address cost-of-living pressures for students while supporting Australia's future health workforce needs.
