Nominations

Nominations are called for up to six eligible members to be elected as Directors to the WIL Australia Board.

  • Nominations Open: 7 September 2026
  • Nominations Close: 21 September 2026

To be eligible for election you must:

  • Be a WIL Australia Member prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting.
  • Nominator Form: Have your nomination supported and signed by two other Members who are eligible to vote.
  • Institutional Statement of Support: Have your nomination supported by your employer.
  • Consent to act as a Director: Importantly, nominees are legally required to have a Director ID prior to appointment to the Board. WIL Australia is required to report director details in the next reporting period. If you do not already have a Director ID and intend to apply via paper application, please do so as soon as possible. Applicants using the online application process can wait until their application is successful, as online applications are generally processed quickly.
  • Agree to abide by the rules and constitution of WIL Australia

Potential Board Directors should be aware that they are obligated to demonstrate support from their employer for their participation on the Board. See also: Executive Responsibilities and Board Code of Conduct.

Results will be announced at the Annual General Meeting on 4th November 2026.

An election will be held via online voting in the event that the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies.

The tenure of elected Directors is two years, commencing at the conclusion of the WIL Australia Annual General Meeting in November 2026. We particularly welcome nominations from colleagues who would bring a broader range of perspectives, backgrounds and experience to the Board. If you know someone whose work you respect, either within your institution or across your Chapter, please encourage them to stand and consider nominating them.
